2nd International Conference DDX3X - 26th March 2025

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

We cordially invite you to the 2nd International DDX3X Conference, which will be held on March 26, 2025 at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences.

The conference is addressed to psychologists, psychiatrists, geneticists, neurologists, nurses, physiotherapists, educators, special educators, speech therapists, students of the above-mentioned fields of study and parents of children with DDX3X from Poland and around the world. During the meeting, topics related to the epidemiology and diagnostics of this syndrome will be discussed. The best specialists - doctors, psychologists - have joined the group of lecturers, who will familiarize the audience with the latest state of knowledge and leading research conducted in the world.

The conference will focus on a rare genetic disorder that is often confused with autism, cerebral palsy, Rett syndrome, Walker syndrome, or unexplained intellectual disability. A quick genetic diagnosis allows the disease to be detected at a time of the greatest brain plasticity in children, and parents can be encouraged to do so by the watchful eye of a school counselor, a consultation with a nurse, a neurological examination, a conversation with a speech therapist or psychologist who suspect that neurodevelopmental difficulties require in-depth diagnostics. With a correct diagnosis, the child has a chance for targeted therapy and the implementation of developmental tasks.

The conference gives parents the opportunity to follow research progress and the latest medical recommendations.

We cordially invite all interested parties to expand their knowledge and awareness of DDX3X.

On March 27, 2025, we are also planning a meeting for families of children with DDX3X from Poland and around the world in an intimate atmosphere in Poznań.
